# I wanted to know if he sends his drums thru the line in or pre amp input when mixing drums

Yo Jay, When you used to mix out the box (Hardware). I wanted to know if you drove your drums thru the Line in or Pre amp section {input) of your hardware 1073’s?

Hi Drew

I’m assuming you mean the Line In or Mic In, as both paths have independent pre-amps. I used the 1073s as inserts on my 9000k so everything was already at line level when we sent outboard to the neves
