# Monitoring while mixing

I cannot get the bass and kick thump from my productions, from my monitors, while other commercially produced cds sound good. Is it all my doing on the board while I’m mixing, or is it possible that I have a room issue, that shows up more with my mixes than with a produced cd

If you can hear it in commerical productions but are struggling to achieve the same result, it most likely would be a mixing problem. Maybe check the amount of low end compression thats going on, and make sure that you’re not losing any of the important transients
