# Rest Time from mixing

Hi Jaycen, I have a rather simple question and it is, how long should I be listening and mixing for before I take a break, and how long should that break be? I’m 15 years old and assume that my ear may have more or less durability than someone older.

It all depends on the record but I also mix at varying volumes. I guess on average I’m taking breaks or switching songs every couple hours
