# What do you deliver to the mastering engineer?

Hi Stuart, thanks for doing this. Recordings today are pretty scooped and pretty loud. How much do you rely on the mastering engineer to give you the loud smiley face? How much would your approach change if you were a less experienced engineer? Would you lean on the mastering engineer more?
