Hi Dan!

Thank you so much for sharing your process of creating Vampire with Olivia. I really appreciated what you said about living life vs. living in the studio and finding that balance and inspiration.

I also loved your breakdown of how you recorded the strings in stereo in your room. What I wonder is, how would you approach panning and mixing the strings tracks if you weren’t able to record in stereo?

I think I would approach it the same way. I would have the player stand in different parts of the room but I might make a few more layers and play around with the panning until it felt right.
