If I’m planning to send a mix for streaming services, how high should the dbfs be? I currently have it set to -1.5db because I notice the streaming conversion pushes it beyond -1.5db. Is that ok? Or, should I just go balls to the wall at -0.25db? Please share your thoughts. Thanks!

For Apple we drop files anywhere between -.03 and -1.5 it really depends with them. For Spotify it can be as loud as you can make it lol.
My wish is that there was a standard or open conversation with streaming services to allow artists to have the best sounding files available. There’s no real transparency with any of this and it pisses me off. We work so hard to deliver the best sound and it’s a roll of the dice with what you get back.
