Hey Jared!
First off, I just wanna say I’m a massive fan of you and your work as Solomonophonic! I first heard about you with Remi around the time of Photo ID and you’ve consistently been a collaborator with artists on tracks that I’ve been a big fan of since then, Lola Young included.
I’ve got a few questions that are more about you and your general workflow than about your work with Lola specifically (hope that’s ok!). Your productions always seem to have so much depth and character to them and you’ve basically managed to do everything I always try to do way better than me haha.
Do you have any specific gear or workflows that are vital to your sound and way of working? Whether that’s specific instruments, mics, outboard, pedals, plugins etc..You said you didn’t have as much gear as you do now when you were working on ‘Messy’ originally, is there anything you’ve had for a while that you swear by?
In general I’d be interested to know what you focus on the most when producing and writing if you’d be willing to share?
And lastly, who have you heard recently or who have you been working with that you’re really excited about?
