When you try, find, integrate new plugins in your chain. What are you looking for and what makes it useful enough the add it to your template. Are you more interested in innovation and ways to create something different and new, or find a tool that will fix problems you often have,
I have so many “staple” plugins (traditional EQ & compressors of all kinds) I don’t even look at those anymore. I go for character. Like Audiothings Dials, Korneff AIP and Level Loc, Audiopunks 610. I also prefer plugins with a learning curve, not the one dial does all stylee. I find when you go for character on some instruments you often need to work less on the others. Thinking contrasts.
