Hi, I’m Marco from Italy. I’d absolutely love the chance to have my track mixed by a master like Andrew Scheps. I won’t take up your time with explanations unless you’d like more context—I’ll simply upload the song and look forward to your feedback.

I consent to my work being used in an official video presentation and to sharing the multitrack stems with the MWTM community for non-commercial, educational purposes only.

Thank you for listening to “Tea for Two (Mon ChĂ©ri)” by Stereoclub.

Hello all,

I am Ian Crawford from The Book of Poems. We are a married indie-pop duo. Started young. Learned the hard way. Still writing our way back to each other. We write in the midst of real life – raising kids, navigating burnout, healing old wounds, and learning how to make space for what matters. We have written, recorded, and mixed the song ourselves, with toddlers running around throughout the process. The song is called “Time Heals All Wounds.”

Thank you for this opportunity and thank you for the listen!!!

Hi

I am Chris from not so sunny Shropshire in the UK. I am a one man band and this is one of my tracks from my modest home studio.

The song is rather ironically called ‘Perfection’ soundcloud link below.

Thanks if you give it a go and wish to share any thoughts : )

Hi there, here it is. it’s a cover of Discovery Zone I did for a compilation.
I wanted something a bit no wavy / post punk early 80’s.. but I feel it doesn’t hit quite right..

Hi! I’m Selena. I’m in the band Ammonite from the Washington, DC area. We are a 3-piece band and I’ve been trying my hand at recording us in our home studio. Our living room space is our practice / recording space. I have been using the affordable mics at my disposal through an 8-channel interface through Logic. MWTM has been a gem when it comes to learning about mixing. I would love to learn how to expand my mixing knowledge, as I feel I have the capability to get to something great. Thank you for your time and listens!

HI everyone,

Here’s my submission of my track to be mixed by the wonderful Andrew Scheps.

I’m a solo artist, based in Liverpool, going under the name DiceJar.
A song from my last EP got a bit of radio play by Simon Le Bon on his show called WHOOOSH!, as well as on BBC Introducing; I’m really hoping to get a bit of traction from my next EP, of which this song is taken from.

It would be amazing to hear what Andrew would do with the song. I’ve often used his methods in my own mixes, so to hear it done properly would just be fantastic!

Thanks a lot!

James

Hi! I’m Aksel. I’m one half of the Norwegian duo 2AM-DM. We make nostalgic pop-rock inspired by bands from the early 2000s. We are huge fans of Andrew’s work, and would love for him to mix this track.

The track is fully self-produced, and we think we have pushed it as far as we can:)

Hey everyone! Gerry here from indie pop duo Porcelain Moon. Here’s my rough mix of our new unreleased song “Movie” – a song we wrote about choosing the messy, unscripted reality of a relationship over the cinematic ‘perfect’ version.

We produce everything from our home studio in Cape Town. I sometimes struggle with keeping the mix clear when the layers start piling up, often fighting to get the low-end to sit right and the vocals to feel present, yet still warm. Andrew’s ‘vibe-over-everything’ philosophy has been a huge influence and I’m a constant user of his plugins, especially the Scheps Omni Channel and Scheps 73. I’d love to see how he’d refine the groove and bring that exciting energy he’s known for to this session. Cheers!

so you’re playing the flattery card now, huh
I also heard one of your songs on MWTM mixed by CLA, “a better mixer than Andrew” (your words).

Just kidding. I love your songs, Porcelain Moon.

Hello everyone,

I’m submitting my track “Two Steps Away”. It’s a dreamy piece that combines electronic elements with jazzy touches, guitar, and string parts.

What drew me to submit this track for Andrew’s session is the combination of mood and texture. There are many different elements that need to sit together, and I’d be honored to hear how Andrew Scheps would approach the sonics, space and overall feel of the track.

Thank you for your consideration.

Best regards,
Gregory Khozov

airhuman here, electronic pop duo. Lot’s of great tracks posted. Here’s one of ours

Haha, whaaat?! I’ve never uttered those words. But thanks man, glad you like our stuff. Also dig your submission! Very cool chord progression and textures.

Hi guys, back with one more: another unreleased song called ‘Secrets.’

Musically, we were aiming for something cinematic
lots of synth textures combined with the usual band instruments, and some recently added cello to give more organic feels. The density of the arrangement has been a real challenge to mix.

I struggle to find the right balance between the ‘weight’ of the low-end synths and the delicate details of the other instruments and vocals, so I’d love to see how Andrew would carve out space in a session this busy. Cheers for considering a second one from us!

Hi everyone! Here is our track Drive me back!

It’s got huge 90s alt-rock vibes (think Smashing Pumpkins). The song relies on a heavy bassline and intricate guitar melodies playing off each other, rather than just aggressive power chords.Getting a big “wall of sound” without everything turning to mush is tricky. I’d love to see how Andrew carves out space for these guitars while keeping that massive low end intact.

Hope you dig it!

Hello,

My name is Kiel Jakubic and I am beyond grateful for this opportunity. Mix With The Masters has been a foundational resource in my production journey. I learned of this program through a friend who was a member a few years back and have found the videos, sessions, and work flows beyond helpful.

I have been making music in Minneapolis / Duluth, MN for the past decade, recording primarily in my home studio. This track “Talking To God” is the title track from my upcoming album Talking To God.

I really enjoyed recording choir style vocals, reamping in different spaces (basketball courts, large rooms, hallways, etc), to blend something unique together. Acoustic, Electric, Choir, Rock, Pop and Analog Synthesis are my favorite sounds and I love blending them into something new. My songs do not follow the most conventional formats but I am super proud of this one.

Thank you for considering, I have enjoyed checking out the other entries as well. Each was surprisingly unique in different ways.
