We are happy to announce a special Q+ this week with Laura Sisk and Oli Jacobs, the engineers behind “Part of the Band” by The 1975. The production of the song is showcased by Jack Antonoff in the latest MWTM release:
Laura Sisk is a freelance Grammy Award-winning recording engineer working in Los Angeles and New York. She’s worked with platinum-selling artists including Taylor Swift, Lana Del Rey and Lorde, and critical favorites including St. Vincent, Florence + the Machine and Clairo.
Oli Jacobs began his career at Real World Studios in the UK and is now based between Los Angeles and New York. He won two Grammys at the 2023 awards for his engineering work on Harry Styles’ Harry’s House and picked up recording engineer of the year at the 2023 Music Producer Guild awards.
