Are you involved when Abel is recording? I am curious about the recording process as you said the tracking is straight through the apollo with no analog gear. Which microphone was used for this song and do you or Abel have a favorite microphone?
If you were to be recording him, what would be your ideal vocal chain?

I handle all of Abel’s recordings myself for efficiency and precision. It’s faster because I can make quick decisions and edit on the fly, maintaining our creative flow without explaining my process to others. We’ve experimented with many high-end mics, but ironically, the affordable SM7B remains my favorite. This experience taught me it’s not always about the most expensive gear - it’s about what allows you to work best and capture the artist’s performance effectively.
