How do you choose the right samples to fit the drums that are sent to you? I’ve watched you extensively and love the idea of a room kick and snare, but if you are choosing a second snare, for example, what do you look for in that? Thank you for being my favorite mixing icon!
Hey Joey ! I always add samples to the snare… if the live kick isn’t good i just use a sample…i never use both…for snare i use a reading good dry one , and a good stereo room sample for starters…i listen to the song if my first choice isn’t good enough i will add a few more…i always keep the live snare unless it horrible
