Hey! I loved your Mix With The Masters episode! Question - when recording live drums and blending them with programmed drums, how do you not run into slight phasing/flamming issues between the kicks/snares/etc. I assume you beat detective the drums, but because of slight human inconsistanies, each hit is slightly different and maybe a ms or two off from the grid at times. Do you just not use live kicks in the blend, do you keep them low, do you trigger what was the old sample to them, or are they just beat detective soooo tight that there arent any issues, etc? Just curious as I want to start blending real drums and programmed more. Thanks so much!!
