How do you fimd balance between tracks?

I know that you like ‘feeling based approach’ but i am curious

Do you have any go to levels? Especially kick snare and 808(or bass bus)?

And also, i find my track balance always change after bus processing. So… my process is like

  1. check balance before bus processing
  2. apply plugins to the bus
  3. check balance again, after hard limiting,

Does this process also apply to you? Or do you have more efficient way of checking balance?

People will only hear what you hear so forget the numbers and anything visual on your screen and just focus on making it sound killer to your ears. Thats what matters and nothing else.

Such a great words! I often have a problem with perfectionism, and how balance numbers looks like, but really most important thing is you hear the mix the same as people hear it.
