I also had another question about my workflow in Pro Tools. I’m having trouble figuring out the best way to move my hooks around without having to record the same hook twice. I want to be able to record a hook once and move/copy it to different parts of the song while keeping everything organized. What workflow would you recommend for doing that?
Hey Yzb_Yoan
Great question! I personally find the easiest method is to mark the hook and copy with (cmd + c) and paste it with (cmd + v) to where you want. Make sure the grid is on (top left corner, it’s blue when active) so you don’t have trouble with the timing of the clip.
You could also mark the clip and duplicate it (cmd + d) and then drag it around with the mouse. Again, best with grid on.
Oh, and if you’re using a PC, it’s ctrl instead of cmd, otherwise it’s the same. Let me know if that helps your workflow ![]()
