Mix feels wrong

Hi Chris,
I’ve mixed a rock song for a musician, and I think it sounds really powerful. People who listen to the song feel the same way. Now, the guitarist wants the guitar to be thicker and louder. He recorded an additional guitar track to achieve that fatter sound. I personally think it doesn’t sound good, but he’s satisfied with it. How would you handle such situations?

I usually mix mostly hip-hop and modern pop, but this problem is probably in all genres. The artist sometimes has some wishes that you may not agree on, but have to accept. try to talk to the artist and see if you can come to an agreement, the person has come to you for a reason.
