How hard would you say you “fight” to preserve or keep the original transients of your drums? Do you find that you often prefer using your transformer busses?
Usually to get as loud as I do I’m always compressing/adding harmonics that take away the original transients and then using more harmonic tricks like the transformer busses to mix back in some of the original signal. Its more of a workflow thing - I’m sure there are other ways to approach this as well
