Aloha Alan and MWTM,

This song has a lot of orchestral elements with a flute solo at the end.

I haven’t synced it to any video yet, but I am working on it.

Thanks for listening and considering.

Mahalo,

Jack Wryder

Hello, here is my submission:

Genre/Style: Hybrid orchestral / Trailer cue / Cinematic

My creative process: This track started differently than most of mine. The vocals and string line popped into my head while I was washing dishes! From there, I built the rest around that core idea.

Hello Alan and MWTM team,

I’m submitting my original unreleased instrumental “Escaped” (a rough mix). It is a cinematic composition built around piano and multiple layers of orchestral and synth-based strings, with both delicate and more intense sections across the arrangement.

What draws me to submit this track for Alan’s session is the combination of emotional atmosphere and track density: there are many string parts, different textures and dynamics that could really benefit from a masterful cinematic mix approach.

I’d be honored to hear how Alan Meyerson would approach this track.

Thank you for your consideration.

This is the closing piece for a short film I recently scored. I’m currently mixing for the soundtrack and would love to see how I could improve my mix. The creative process started with a felt piano to find the chords, then I built it up with orchestral elements. This was a low budget project so all instruments are sample based with some soft synths peppered in. This is also the first score/mix I’ve done with multiple articulations triggered on a single track to save on CPU as I mixed and composed at the same time. I own all rights to the music and consent for it to be used.

Hello Mr Meyerson and MWTM

I would like to submit my freshly produced orchestral peace called Reborn. It’s a cinematic-fantasy track with the full orchestral arrangement for solo violin, Bulgarian choir and a solo female singer.

I started to compose this peace a year ago and then I had to take a brake for 8 months, but now I decided to finish it and I just saw this announcement today so… I thought why not give it a try.

I watched probably all of your videos trying to learn how to produce orchestras so it would be an absolute honour if you would ever consider working on my music.

I just ended the pre-mix, so all the necessary paning inside the stems is done, as well as levelling all the instruments and levelling STEMS it selves, but nothing more, no eq, no compression, no reverbs, etc. So now it’s just a 26 track project - each track is already a STEM.

All the instruments are VST plugins instruments, so no life recording here.

Hope your doing well and you will consider my application.

Best Regards,

Daniel.

Greetings Alan and to the MWTM Team,

I am submitting a scene from an Ecuadorian feature film called Distorsion made by the director Gabino Torres. On which I worked composing the motifs of the characters and several cues for the film. The movie genre was thriller and drama.

The aimed style was a hybrid type score.

This scene is scored using all virtual instruments and there are no recorded instruments. The score of this scene consists of several dissonant strings, pads and synths, some percussion elements and some french horn effects.

The decision was at the ending of the scene, the image goes to back, but the music and the ambulance alarm slowly fade away.
