Tips for electronic music

Hello jaycen!

Love your videos and your teachings. I was wondering if you had any tips for critical thinking on house music. I listen a lot of songs on this genre but it is hard to find songs that have a clear and expensive sound like the ones shown in the video.

Any tips you can think of that could help me to better my critical thinking on this genre would help!!

Hi! It always helps to find your favorite sounding tracks and try to compare them to your mixes - Try sculpting your frequencies the same way the track does. You can sort of do “hands on” critical listening this way. Take an EQ and filter out different sections of the track to hear what is going on.
