VT5 in the Mix Buss order

It looks like you’re using a lot of the VT-5! In your mix buss, where do you place it/optimal place to place it on our mix buss?

Hi Joshua! I’d say it’s on 50% of the time these days. It tends to be the first thing as I can then control my gain staging into it, so I’m not softening transients too much by hitting it too hard. Then I can make up any gain I want after the tone I get from the VT-5. Hope that’s helpful!

Thanks for the reply, Jon! Would you say you sometimes let the tubes do the work and keep it “flat” so you have the characteristics of it?

Pretty much always doing a top and bottom boost or not using it I’d say
