Whats the difference between C Drums / C Drums M?

Hey,

I’m not mixing in Pro Tools and I’m not sure if I got this right? I thought that you first let the drums go through the NLS chain and afterwards through the RBass, Shadowhills Compressor etc. -chain. So I thought it is one big chain. Is that C Drums M a parallel channel or is it part of the whole chain?

c drums m is for controlling the input going into the c drums
