I’m wondering if you have any advice for adding weight/muscle to a vocal, particularly female vocal, without it getting muddy (e.g. pultec boost/cut, multiband compression, etc.). As an aside, any chance you’re planning another weeklong session in Avignon? I’ve been crossing my fingers for that.

i do most of my reductive eq with Pro-L so i would start there and lose below 80/90hz if im going to add eq its going to be broad so something like a pultec at 100.
harmonic distortion like Tapehead can also help with adding body and a tape sim like the ATR also helpful if you dont have the real thing…
