Advise for young aspiring engineer

Hi Leslie, I’m a huge fan of all your work and watching your videos makes me want to get up and start working!

I am 15 years old and want to be a mastering or mixing engineer, I have been doing it for about a year or so and really love it when I mix and master my own productions. My mixes have started to sound fairly good on all speakers as well.

My question is do you have any advise for aspiring engineers, and what do you suggest I do after I finish school? Study at Uni, work at a studio, keep reaching out to different artists. ect…

I suggest all of the above. If you have the opportunity to goto school… do that. If you have the opportunity to intern at a studio…do that. Whatever opportunities you have…take them. And of course …the internet. There’s a world of information on the internet.
