When mixing backing vocals, what criteria do you use in terms of mixing? Which spaces in the mix does this group occupy?
Usually these vocals for me are used to support the lead vocal. I don’t like mixing them too loud to get in the way of my rhythm or main melody. I treat them as their name suggests - as a part of the background of the track
