I make my own music at home and I always struggle with EQing my vocal. I’ve got great mics and pre amps but I know I struggle with eq. My low mids are always way too much and muddies up my mixes. How do I remove without feeling like I take too much away and then my vocals are too thin sounding. Fitting my vocals in the mix has been a struggle for me. Thank you!
I had this problem for many years. It was solved by the right monitors that accurately represent the low mids. In my case, ATC 50s. But that’s not all, low mid range management is probably one of the most aggravating things about mixing. Hit me up on email brickhousela@gmail.com and I will schedule a zoom call with you. I am not charging anything I just want to help you out.
