ITB Alternatives for Neve Summing Mixer?

Hey Teezio,

I appreciate you sharing every session detail in a concise way! Thank you so much! The gain staging structure details were extra helpful and something I’ve been missing while trying to “Mix with the Masters” haha.

I’d be interested in your thoughts on how you would go about replicating your Neve summing mixer process if you had to mix completely in the box for a session?

I believe you mentioned that nothing is quite the same as analog and I’m sure that’s true, but I think I’ve seen a few plugins that aim to do the job. My ADHD brain can’t let the question go lol.

UAD has the Neve Summing plugin, but believe that’s limited to the LUNA DAW exclusively, so wouldn’t be as seamless of an integration, although maybe the truest. I see Jaycen Joshua using the NLS Plugin stacked up multiple times for his Drum bus. SSL Bus compressors and the CLA Mix hub also come to mind.

I’d love to get your quick thoughts.

Thanks again for sharing!

Hello 9DM,
Waiting for teezio’s kind reply I want to add that you can route to Luna with virtual output so the integration may be almost painless
Anyway I would like to know how hard should signal hit the summing stage referring to luna’s metering.
Thanks !

I think I would figure out a way to make it work in the box I wouldn’t be able to perfectly replicate it without the real thing so my mixing would have to change a bit gain stage wise the one thing I wouldn’t do in my personal opinion is over complicate my life by integrating luna through just to use a UAD summing plugin that won’t replicate the real thing close enough to make it worth it … I would rather keep it simple and compensate in a diff way
