I see you rarely use HP filters or reduce boxy frequencies (especially on the lead vocal), which I know many other producers do (200 Hz area, or a HP around 80-100). I wonder why that is. Thank you for sharing your knowledge!
Because HPF loses energy, and you don’t wanna do that. focus on balance, gain staging, control using compression and clipping.
